The project involved joint work, and a workshop with students in an international environment.
The event gathered professors and students from the University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Forestry, International Burch University – Department of Architecture, IMLA Programme: Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU) and Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT), University of Sarajevo – Faculty of Agriculture, and the Association of Landscape Architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The workshop aimed to look at the potentials of green infrastructure within a city environment. It represents an interesting exercise that focuses on the local social and ecological systems, and also proposing interventions that are rooted in sustainable practices but also critically introducing innovative green infrastructure paradigms from an international perspective.
The workshop also opened several sub-questions about the directions and potential challenges of Sarajevo‘s (sub) urban future scenarios, and spotlighted further challenges to be solved in the next steps of the collaboration in the mission to contribute to the real-life revitalization processes of Sarajevo today.
